Henley Regatta was first held in 1839 and has been held annually ever since, except during the two World Wars. Originally staged by the Mayor and people of Henley as a public attraction, with a fair and other amusement, the emphasis rapidly changed so that competitive amateur rowing became its main purpose. For the 2011 Henley Regatta, River Thames Charters is offering skippered river cruises on board Sea Saga, for up to 12 people at a cost of £250 per hour. Many of their clients wish to soak up the atmosphere of the Regatta for just an hour or two before heading to the Enclosure. The price remains the same whether 1 or 12 guests charter the boat. A welcome drink is included in the price, although further refreshments and canapes can also be provided at an additional cost. You are also welcomed to bring your own food and/or drinks onboard.
Alternatively, you could have a full day onboard Sea Saga, fully catered with complimentary drinks throughout your cruise from only £250 per person
